Found Object Assemblages

"This Little Piggy"

The base structure was an old, broken barometer; most of the other objects are bits and pieces found at thrift stores, rummage sales, and from a favorite store in Escondido, called the "Grab Bag."

"The Painter's Mother"

My first assemblage made for EMG's "Black & White" exhibit, 2003.  The container was a woman's nylon stocking box found at AmVets thrift store, probably from the '50s or '60s.

The outside of the box was a M. Keane (sp?) painting on silk or satin fabric.  This was my first art piece to sell.  Victoria Estacio Huckins, a mixed media artist and collector, purchased it.
